The Land of the Long White Cloud is one of the most influential country not only in the pacific but in the whole world. New Zealand has the world's highest access to telecommunications per capita, with the cost of accessing the Internet being almost as low as it is in the United States.
The country value a lot for ICT development which was focus to educatio and it aims to informed, high quality leadership. The ICT also aims to bring improvement, and embedding those improvements into day-to-day practices, takes time.
The vision had been giving emphasis by the New Zealander, this are as follow:
for all students, irrespective of their backgrounds,
  • to develop the knowledge, understandings, skills, and attitudes
  • to participate fully in society,
  • to achieve in a global economy,
  • and to have a strong sense of identity and culture.

  • students' knowledge, understandings, skills, and attitudes
  • through the appropriate and effective use of ICT.

ICT Poicy and Strategy in Astralia

Astralia i is a country in the Southern Hemisphere comprising the mainland of the Australian continent (the world's smallest), but in terms of ICT, the said cotry had walk a distance, that even the biggest continent, Asia had become small in terms of their technology.

To achieve this, strategies include strengthening programmes for schools the country emphasize the 5 key action towards ICT and this are as follow:

People:
Improved learning outcomes for students, supported by educational leaders, teachers and administration staff with the skills and motivation to use ICTs effectively.
Infrastructure:
Access to an advanced ICT infrastructure that supports teaching and learning.
Content and Services:
Access to, and application of online resources and services that support continuous improvement in curricula, in classroom and distance learning and in school administration.
Supporting Policies:
Policies that support the integration of ICTs in schools.
Enabling Regulation:
A legal framework in Australia that supports rather than inhibits the use of new ICTs to enhance learning. They believe that this 5 key will be the answers to the ICT's in their country.


ICT Policy in Hong Kong

Hongkong is also a countyr which lies in Asia and consider also as one of the most advance ICT country in the world. Hongkong is just actually a small country but it's nation is too huge in terms of ICT proficiency.
  • The strategy outlines HongKong's aims to harness the power of ICT to turn schools into dynamic and innovative learning institutions, where students can become more motivated, inquisitive, creative and independent lifelong learners.ICT elements will be incorporated in the school curriculum, aiming to have at least 25 per cent of the curriculum taught through ICT by 2002/03.

    Currently, Malaysia is making every effort to steer the economy towards a knowledge-based one. Malaysia's long-term vision, calls for sustained, productivity-driven growth, possible only with a technologically literate, critically thinking workforce. The country;s maxim is stated as“developing the potential of individuals in a holistic and integrated manner, so as to produce individuals who are intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and physically balanced and harmonious.”, the said philosophical decree enable the country to produce a well developed human abilities and capabilities.

ICT Policy in Singapore

Singapore is one of the country which lay in Asia, and a neighboring country of Philipines but it's ICT development is quite more progresive than it's neigboring country.IT in Education to greater heights. The government has it's own reason why ICT is being emphasized by the said country and the reason are as follow. Develop an integrated and sustained model of professional development for IT in Education
    • Promote an e-learning culture
    • Create enabling structures to recognise and sustain teachers
    From the aim above I can say that the goverment has the point in doing such thing specially that it will improve the quality of education and to developed a well trained student in term of ICT field.
  • Active promotion of IT in education
  • Sustained support and enabling structures for schools
  • Empower schools with more autonomy through leadership capacity building.

Recommendation for the Philippines:

Or country is hanging for our own ICT development, but still we cannot cope p for our neighboring country. The government should value the importance and role of ICT in quality and relevant education.
like other countey the Philippines should also give emphasis to the five key thing towards ict, which are as follow; people, Infrastractre, contentservices, Supporting Policies,and enabling regulation, if this wil be follow theres no doubt that or country will compete in terms of ICT.
